Myspace: Blocked. Facebook: Blocked. LJ: Green Light!
It's been awhile. I got a promotion at work, I am an Internet/Fleet Sales Manager here at Toyota/Scion of Glendale. I got your hook up, no doubt. I had to move for the 4th time in under 3 years in Los Angeles, and now I'm in a 1BR apartment in Sherman Oaks. Yes, that's right, The Valley. Think what you will, it's cleaner air, nicer people, less traffic, and a stone's throw through the Hollywood Hills to get to where I need to go. Despite the promotion, I'm still broke as the second move in under 4 months has bankrupted me, and I'll be going home to Boston empty handed, as usual. It's nothing new, and I'm used to this lifestyle on a shoestring budget, it's just annoying because I really hoped to go home with some dough to start paying my folks back for all the help they've provided. Oh, yea... I'll be home on Monday. Monday-Monday, and it's all about my lil bro's graduation from Xaverian. *tear* I'd like to start re-building some burnt bridges, too. So keep in touch, I'm still crazy, but not insane. -Whitey | | Monday, January 22nd, 2007 | | 12:59 am |
Robert Stack Update
I actually live in Silver Lake now. I've moved in to a 3br house with two roomates, one from Japan and the other from Ireland. I've not seen either of them much in the few days I've been here, but I do love this place. The short version is "The Bitch Threw Me Out". That's why I live in Silver Lake now. Everyone warned me about dating someone that young. They really can change their mind in a heartbeat. This time the mind changing forced me to re-deploy on short notice. It is only through the tremendous support of my family and friends that I am able to facilitate this move. Thanks be to God. I thought I'd cross-post a blog from Myspace that I had fun writing. DJ and Jenn got married. How bout that? Congratulations, you twos. That reminds me of a serendipitous night I had when I had Michele, Mark and Lee all in front of me as I left the house I just lived in. New England is alive and well in Los Angeles. Here's the blog: cyclic pattern I met Girl A at a party before I moved to LA. Girl A was dating Boy A at this point in time. Boy A is a douche who ruined a perfectly good jam session on the back porch of Simpson Ave by grabbing a guitar and singing cover songs. I shamelessly flirted with Girl A right in front of Boy A. I move to LA. Via Myspace Girl A and I begin talking and fall madly in love. Girl A loves Marilyn Monroe, by the way. Girl A visits LA. Girl A goes back to Cambridge. Long Distance never works. Girl A leaves me over the phone. Via Myspace I meet Girl B who had photos of herself as Marilyn Monroe. Girl B and I start dating. We fall in love. Girl B once dated a Boy B. Boy B bears a striking resemblance to Boy A. Boy B is just as much a douchebag as Boy A. Girl B and I move in together. Live in relationships don't work. Girl B throws me out on the street. Girl B goes back to Boy B in the backseat of a 1999 Honda Accord. Did a massive rift in the space time continuum just heal itself closed or am I going crazier and crazier as the days go on? | | Friday, December 15th, 2006 | | 11:47 pm |
Somebody please argue with me about baseball for a second...
First, I gotta note that I'm watching "Dogfights" on THC. They're showing Vietnam era US Figher Jets against uh.. wait.. what? Viet Cong Migs?! WTF? Why is this the first time I'm hearing that Charlie could fly a plane?! I thought all they did was hide in rice paddies with an AK-47 on a diet of rats and mud?!? Now... someone from RSN please tell me why Brendan Donnelly looks good on paper yet every time I seen the guy pitch, he earns a custom chant from yours truly? I mean, I used to cheer for the guy when he pitched for the Angels against the Sox... If anyone could blow a game and give the other team a shot at a late break out, it was Donnelly. We just dropped over 110 mil on the "best pitcher in Japan". I fear that any gains earned by the acquisition of Dice-K will be nullified when this walking hard on Donnelly takes the mound. Somebody, please tell me why this is a good move. Anyone? Bueller? | | Thursday, September 14th, 2006 | | 11:35 pm |

I guess not...
All the jazz about a big summer selling cars was overblown. Here we are with 2 days to go in August and I have a whopping 4 cars out. I've hit the low point where I've gone to careerbuilder.com and foxcareers.com and hit the "apply" button as much as I could. Barbara has gone nuts with HGTV and redecorating this house. So much to the point where when our pirate signal scrambled HGTV, she called Time Warner Cable and got the box installed. A little sooner than I expected, but hey, the History Channel and Comedy Central never killed anyone. The car business has to be the most bipolar job out there. The kind of job where 20 days are spent kicking tires and the other 10 spent collecting your paycheck. I need a change. I need something... | | Wednesday, July 26th, 2006 | | 10:12 am |
America runs on Dunkin's
and ain't that the Gospel truth. Hey guys. I never update this damn thing because of myspace.com/agentjoefreeland I just read the friends page to keep up with alla jous. But I am home in Milton until Sunday. And I <3 Dunkin' Donuts. | | Tuesday, March 7th, 2006 | | 11:25 pm |

Ryan Chappelle took a bullet in the back of the head for his country...
...what have YOU done? Ok. I've been watching too much 24. My bro is visiting and we started Season 3 last night. The show is my new cocaine. He brought Dunkies and an unpaid parking ticket. The month has been decent at work, but next month... ooooh man... This thing will eat its competition. New Camry. Hybrid will be out in May. We call this the Kia Killer. Toyota virtually has it's boot on the neck of US auto companies. Even Mike Dukakis laments the state of the auto union, and now it's unabashed anal raping. It's going to be good hunting this summer. And in case you were wondering about trucks... Imagine a power rig that won't break down every 3,000 miles... | | Saturday, January 28th, 2006 | | 11:34 am |

The following takes place between 9am and 10am
I can't sleep in anymore. Even on the days I don't work until 2pm, I'm still up at 8am, watching Good Day LA and eating Captain Crunch. Life in Los Angeles is good. I'm getting the hang of my job and steadily rolling out the operations to maintain my original motives for moving out here. You know you're in LA when your traffic chopper guy uses the word "Gnarly". I am nuts for 24. Barbara got me ALL 4 SEASONS on DVD!!! Now we're watching Day Five and Four alternately and its confusing but engrossing. The extras rock too, especially Day Four when Jack tells Erin Driscoll off after she fires him and the behind the scenes look at the Marine Rescue scene. The Kitty just ate a Cap'n Crunch piece that I dropped. I hope that's ok for him. | | 8:50 am |

inside the xmas massives! Dear Santa...
Dear Santa,
This year I've been busy!
In October I helped xspliffx see the light (8 points). In June I bought porn for divinesight (10 points). Last Monday on a flight to Vancouver, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points). In May I pulled over and changed goddess_caamora's flat tire (15 points). In April lordandmaster and I robbed a bank (-50 points).
Overall, I've been naughty (-57 points). For Christmas I deserve a lump of coal!
Sincerely, anomaly_mc | | | 9:36 pm |
Homecomin'
I'll be home in 13 days. I've never lived anywhere else other than Mass. Since I've come to Los Angeles I've done that which, three years ago, I would have never thought possible: Achieved my Objectives. While I may be broke and upside down, I still look back and realize that it'll take some time to fully process exactly what I've done and what the next step is, and nothing is more appropriate than a return trip home. Though they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, there is always the sense that I've been forgotten in the eyes of old mates. While I've managed to keep in touch with most of you, I feel like I'm off the radar of a few whom I once thought to be close to. It's all understandable, and a part of me looks forward to catching up. A week may not be enough time, but it's what I've got. $30 in the bank may not be enough to survive right now, but it's what I've got. Imagination and Motive may not pay my bills, but it's what I've got. Let's work with it. | | Monday, October 31st, 2005 | | 6:36 pm |
7.5 x $4,100
Low units, high gross was my October. I'm bummed about Theo Epstein leaving and my girlfriend hates the prospect of Manny joining the Angels. The good news is I have a new Boston Red Sox war hat in the Desert Camo. 2006 is a go. I'm Mr. White for Halloween, stringbean tie and all. | | Wednesday, October 26th, 2005 | | 8:38 am |
Webhost Me Bitches
Last night's dream had me tattooed and up to no good. As the dream progressed and the stakes got higher, the tats got more and more abundant and the storyline got wierder... and once things hit a pitch of absurdity and chaos, the clouds parted, light shone in and my tats faded away. I thought they looked pretty cool... | | Tuesday, October 25th, 2005 | | 12:31 am |

Lost my friends, lost my money, lost my way, lost my soul....
That seems to be a common line given by the bums in Los Angeles as they lament on how fate found it's backside landing on their unfortunate heads. Knocking on wood, I can safely say that's not what I'm sayin' right now. Sure, I've been out of touch, out of sight and out of mind for a lot of people right now, and some days it shows more than others. But the good news is that I'm doin' well, I'm on my way to resolving problem #3 in my inital invasion strategy: Ground Transportation. I wanted a white one, but that's not availiable this week. Flint Mica makes for a ninja lookin' vehicle. I'll be home for Christmas from the 21st through the 28th. It'd be nice to run into some familiar faces when I'm there. Gimme a holla, will ya? | | Saturday, September 3rd, 2005 | | 11:39 pm |
NOLA
Judge Reinqhist did not die of cancer. He was in Nawleans, eating crawfish on the dock while the witchdoctor around the corner frantically danced for a means to an end for the old bastard. Cancer wasn't working, pneumonia was like a cold to him and Alzheimer's gave him a personality. When the first waves churned in agitation, the witch doctor turned to the television set and smiled when he saw that Katrina was on her way. In other news, Lucky, my half siamese half domestic shorthair negro cat, seems to think that the situation in NOLA is the perfect staging ground for a homegrown insurgency. If only the gangs would seize a few blocks of swamped out downtown. That'd be fodder for some fan-hittin shit, wouldn't ya say? | | Monday, August 29th, 2005 | | 1:39 am |

Over There
Best fucking show on TV right now. Update: I sell cars. Toyotas. So far my favorite is the 4Runner, but for me I gotta go economical. I'm gonna buy me one of them Scion tC's in October, then get this show on the road. I have tickets to both the 8/18 and 8/21 Sox vs. Angels games. On August 15th I'll be 27 and spending the afternoon at Sonny Maclean's, watching Sox vs. Detroit, eating Buffalo fingers and getting blasted on Smithwick's (that's Smiddicks for all you Boston Irish impaired.) This whole excursion ain't what I thought it was gonna be, but hell, nothing ever is. It never hurts to have an idea of what you're getting into or what's down the road, but the thing of it is never to act all shocked when things don't go according to fantasy. |
